Born in East Kildonan January 21, 1914, Bill spent his early years in Camp Morton (near Gimli) and in Winnipeg. He married Anne Morrison in 1939. They spent the war years in Atlantic Canada and Ontario as Bill served with the RCAF. They returned to Winnipeg and built a business which still operates as FIELDS RADIO AND TV. In 1980 Anne suffered a debilitating stroke so Bill sold the business and dedicated his life to caring for her. To many he will be remembered for 21 years of selfless attention to her every need, a sterling example to all of us of genuine love. He was a gentle man of quiet integrity and honesty who loved life and maintained a sharp mind and wit till the end. Anne passed on in 2001.
