Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JAMES ADAMS It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Jim Adams, beloved husband of Helen, on February 14, 2008. He is survived by son Dwight (Nancy); daughter-in-law Marsha; grandchildren, Kristine (Tomas) Ritchie, Darin (DeAnn), Mark (Joelle), Karen (Jason) and great-grandchildren, Aurora, Avalon Ritchie, Mattias, Eliza Adams and Lauren Adams. Also survived by sister-in-laws Lois Adams, Kathy Cole and numerous nephews and nieces. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Ruth Adams; his beloved son Gary Adams; his sister Helen (Ed) Brechin, and his brother Doug Adams. Jim was self-employed in the trucking industry for 45 years. He loved his work and enjoyed a full life with his love Helen for 67 years (anniversary February 7). They made yearly trips to the West Coast to visit their family and were constant supporters and number one fans of their son and grandchildren's numerous curling, baseball, soccer, concerts and figure skating events, etc. He loved fishing and boating and spent many happy years at Pye's Landing, Lake of the Woods. Jim was a special man who touched the hearts of everyone who knew him, even those he met for only a short while. He loved to talk and meet people and had a terrific sense of humour. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at the Carman Memorial Hospital and the St. Boniface Hospital for the care he received. Funeral service will be held at the Carman United Church, 134 lst Street SW, at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, or a charity of your choice.
