GEORGETTE BAUCHE (nee DUMAINE) September 29, 1932 - January 25, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and good friend at the age of 75. Georgette was born on her Grandpa Blerot's homestead in Storthoaks, Saskatchewan, the eldest of nine siblings. She went to school in Storthoaks and Forget. In March of 1949, she met Gilbert Bauche. They were married in 1951. Together they operated a farm in Antler, Sask., and raised six children, born 1952 - 1959. They vacationed a week or two, every summer at Kenosee Lake. In 1973, they sold their farm and moved to Winnipeg, MB. They worked for Block Brothers Realty until 1981, when they semi-retired and moved to Kenosee Lake. In 1984, they were in a car accident and Gilbert passed away. Georgette spent three months in hospital at that time, but she rallied and had a good life for another 24 years, enjoying her children, grand-children and many friends. In 2003, Georgette moved back to Redvers, SK, then in 2006 to Okotoks, AB, to be closer to her three youngest children. Besides her husband, Georgette was predeceased by her mother in 1958; her stepmother in 1984 and her father in 1997; three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, as well as a few nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her six children: Gisele Hansen, Evelyne (Chuck) Frankard, David (Marlene Nelson), Julie Matthewson, Jerry (June Morrison), Yvette (Terry) Gallant; her 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters and three brothers, several in-laws and friends. Funeral mass, and a celebration of her life, will be held in the Catholic Church in Bellegarde, SK, on March 24, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Mom's wishes were that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes or Canadian Cancer Society.
