ROBERT (BOB) VICTOR WARMAN Peacefully on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Grace Hospital, Bob passed away at the age of 72 years. Bob will be sadly missed by his children: Linda (Mike), Larry, Sherri (Steve), Patty (Marty) and Ken (Jody); eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his loving companion, Betty Gunlaugson and her children Ken, Jim (Patti); his mother, Margaret and by his brother, David (Shirley). He was predeceased by his father, Victor and his wife, Dona. In 1987 Bob transferred to Winnipeg from Calgary with Domtar. Upon planning for his retirement, he purchased a home and hobby farm in Starbuck. Due to his failing health (heart), he had to sell his farm along with all his toys and move back to the city in the summer of 2007. (Sorry, Ken G. no more acres of grass to cut or endless cords of wood to split!) Bob enjoyed spending many days helping his dear and closest friends Lyall Clare with their fall harvesting in Woodlands. He especially looked forward to the summer months where he could camp and fish along with his family and friends at his favourite spot, Benson's Big Rock. Being a handyman and Jack of all trades he was always ready and more than willing to help Jim with all his at home renovation projects, although beer breaks were always a must!!! Bob is now resting at peace along with his two four legged spoiled rotten furry friends Bud and Misty. On Thursday, February 21 at 10:30 a.m., Bob's Funeral Service will be held in the Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. For those who wish, viewing will be held a half hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Calgary at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
