CHARLES GORDON MURRAY It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving father Gordon on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at the age of 82. Gordon was born in Carman, Manitoba May 23, 1925 and served in the Canadian Air Force for three years stationed at MacDonald and Portage bases, then farming in the Carman / Graysville areas until 1989. Gordon was an active community-minded man, serving the Carman Library, the United Way and many other organizations taking great pride in the growth and success of the local Credit Union. He came from a family of six, Norma (Gibson), Ivan, Francis (Savage) and Betty (Sager) and was predeceased by his parents Charles and Martha, daughter Bonnie, and sister Marlene (Monteith). He leaves behind his beloved wife, Helen, of 57 years, and his children, Sandra (Ken), Robert (Barb), Bruce (Roseann), Karen (Roly), and Charles (Sherry). He will also be dearly remembered by his grandchildren, Andrew (Jodi), Catherine (Eric), Wendy (Graeme), Brennan, Graham, Allison, Joshua (Melanie), Alexandrea, Samantha, Benjamin, Brandyn, CJ, and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander and Marcus. The memorial service will be held on Thursday February 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church, 134 1st Street SW, Carman, MB.
