Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNATALIA (NELLIE) KELNER Peacefully, February 19, 2008 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Mom left us to rejoin Dad. Mom was born May 27, 1917 in Gimli. She resided all her life in the Winnipeg Beach area. On January 1, 1938 she married Alfred Kelner, a marriage that lasted 57 years until Dad passed on in 1995. Mom worked several years at the Beach attractions, and for many years was known as the Interlake Tupperware Lady. Mom and Dad built Nell's Dairy Bar in Selkirk where they worked together until their retirement. Retirement meant many years of spending winters in Florida. Mom was predeceased by her husband Alfred; father John and mother Tekla Polishchuk; brothers, John and Walter and son-in-law Art Lavallee. She leaves to mourn sons, Albert (Elsie), Bryan (Candice), and daughter Carol (Joe); grandchildren, Grant (Trish), Karen, Margaret, Rebecca, Sandra (Matt), Colette and Philip; great-grandchildren, Jay, Max, Cassidy, Aiden and Natalia. Our family wishes to say thank you to the nurses and staff of Gimli Hospital, Riverview Health Centre, Selkirk Betel Home and Selkirk General Hospital for the compassionate care they gave to Mom during her illness. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at Wakefield Cemetery in August of 2008. An obituary will be placed at that time with the date. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
