LOUIS JOSEPH YVON It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Louis Yvon on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in his residence at the age of 87 years. Louis was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Florence; his son Roger, and his sister Yvonne. Left to cherish Louis' memory are his sons, Norman (Joan), Lucien, Charles (Brenda), Patrick, Daniel (Roxanne); his daughters, Monique, Bernadette (Richard) Berthelette, Jaqueline (Tony) Timchuk, Armande (Ron) Villebrun, Nicole (Gilbert) Gauthier; his brothers, Gerard, Joe, and sister Irene Fournier; 28 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Louis was born on May 24, 1920 in St. Norbert and raised in Woodridge, MB. In 1939 he married Florence and moved to St. Labre where they raised their family. Dad spent most of his life as a farmer and in his later years was a bus driver for the Hanover School Division. Dad loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids, he was also a faithful bingo player, and played twice a week with his daughters at Sts. Peter and Paul. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Phil, you were a great friend to dad, and the time spent with him will never be forgotten. In keeping with dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louis' memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
