Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELGA THEODORA SCHARF (nee STEFANSON) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Helga passed away at the Lundar Personal Care Home on February 20, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Helga was born on October 4, 1921 on the family farm in the Stoney Hill District, east of Lundar. She was predeceased by her parents, husband of 53 years, William, sisters, Kristjana, Jonina, and brother Stefan. She is survived by her children, Larry (Megan), Eleanor (Wayne), Richard (Sharon) and James; her grandchildren, Dennis (Diane), Chrissie (Lorne), Jacqueline and Susan; great-grandchildren, Derek, Brooke and Keevin, niece Donna Kostyshyn, nephew John Stefanson, along with other family members, many good friends and neighbours. Helga farmed with her husband since 1941 next door to her parents' farm. There she made a home for her husband and raised her four children. She always kept toys in the attic for her family's children and neighbouring children. She enjoyed looking after all animals, wild and tame, big and small alike. The short-horned roan cow was especially a favourite of Helga's. She always refused to send it to the market. We should also mention her always faithful dogs Nipper and TJ. TJ never left her side until Helga was moved to the Lundar Personal Care Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Lundar Lutheran Church with Pastor Jaycen Snider officiating. Interment to follow in the Otto Churchyard Cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. Pallbearers will be John Stefanson, Lloyd Holm, Tommy Cramp, John Kostyshyn, Donald Thorkelson and Glen Hartman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helga's memory to the Lundar Lutheran Church Fund, Box 216, Lundar, MB R0C 1Y0. For all the care Helga received during her years at the Lundar Personal Care Home, we would like to send our heartfelt thanks to all the nurses and staff. Now that you are finally at peace, you will always be remembered to be the strongest of heart and the gentlest by nature. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. We love you and will miss you forever. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD. Ashern - Lundar 1-204-768-2072
