EVA BAILEY Peacefully on February 21, 2008, Eva Bailey went to be with her loving husband, Clarence. She was predeceased by her father, Rudolph, her mother, Bertha and by her brothers Fred and Arnold. Left to celebrate her life are her children: Wayne (Ghislaine), Gayle (Ian), Sharon (Jerry), Jo-Ann (Henry) and Debbie (Dennis); her 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also her sister Jo and her sisters-in-law, Isobel and Margaret. Mom was born in Morden on September 27, 1914. She married Dad on September 21, 1938, and they farmed in the Manitou district. Later they moved to Altamont, Manitoba, and then to Winnipeg. Mom loved having her family around her. She had many interests including gardening, sewing, knitting and reading. Mom made the best buns and sugar cookies. Everyone would wait eagerly for a package of buns when Mom was baking and her parcels of sugar cookies at Christmas were eagerly anticipated by her entire family. A memorial service will be held in the spring, at her request, when she will be laid to rest beside Dad in New Haven Cemetery in the Manitou District. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospital and River Park Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9.
