PAULINE PATKO (BATRNYCHUK) -
Date of Passing: Feb 10, 2008
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE PATKO (nee BATRNYCHUK) 1921 - 2008 Our hearts are saddened to announce the passing of our Mom, Grandma, Gigi and friend on February 10, 2008 at the age of 86 in North Vancouver, BC. She was predeceased by her infant son James, her parents Leon and Mary, husband Edward, and sister Elsie, all of Winnipeg. She leaves to cherish her memory son Ken of Lillooet, BC, daughter Lorraine Metcalf (Ian), grandchildren, Jodie Jensen (Eric), Paul and Darcy Patko, great-grandchildren, Markus and Jake, all of North Vancouver, BC, brother Peter, cousins, Marie, Bunny, Marion and Rosemarie, and close family friends, John Oldham and Dorothy Hanuschak of Winnipeg. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she will be remembered for her devotion, generosity, kindness, and sense of humour. Her home was a gathering place, where there was always room for one more for dinner or shelter for those who needed a place to stay. We will miss her smile and laughter, the perogies, cabbage rolls, and homemade bread she lovingly prepared, her beautiful needlework, and the wonderful life experience stories she told so well. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Vancouver on March 2, followed by a Memorial service in the spring in Winnipeg. Flowers are gratefully declined; donations in her memory to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated. In our hearts forever.
