He served his country in the Second World War. He married in 1959 and moved to Winnipeg where he raised his family. Nicola loved to travel and touched many continents, including Asia and Australia. His garden was a great passion of his and was admired by many neighbors. Dad was a devoted family man, much of his energy and time was devoted to his wife and children. Rain or shine he helped his son every night at his place of business, right up to the date of a serious car accident. His positive outlook and supportive wife helped him during the difficult times he faced after the accident. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, February 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, February 27, at 10:00am, also in Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding; entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverly Street. Thanks to all the health care workers, who took such great care of dad and shared a laugh while doing so.
