ELLEN NANCY KLAUSEN (nee CAIN) Peacefully in her sleep at the age of 67 years, after five years fighting cancer, Ellen passed away on February 23, 2008. Mourning her passing is her husband of 45 years Kell; daughters, Kelly Matthews and Susan Lecuyer (Jason). She also leaves her parents, Stephen and Hanna Cain, brothers and sisters, Lloyd (Carol), Mildred, Richard (Gisele), Vallory (Wayne), Dave, Lena (Dave), Shirley, Don (Darlene), Cindy, and Kim (John), grandchildren, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ellen was born at Pleasant Vale, New Brunswick on November 30, 1940. Her greatest love was her family and especially the grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. She spent many years as a school teacher, then child development and child care before retirement in 1993. In retirement years, Ellen and Kell were inseparable enjoying many travels and wintering in Southern Texas. The family is grateful for all the great care provided by the staff at Selkirk General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Ellen's name may be made to Selkirk General Hospital, Palliative Care. Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating Ellen's life will be held Friday, February 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Britian United Church, Lockport, Manitoba. Refreshments to follow at Church Hall.
