Date of Passing: Feb 22, 2008
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUANITA AGUILAR In God's time, our dearly beloved mother Juanita Aguilar reached the Promised Land on Friday, February 22, 2008. Born in the Philippines on October 25, 1921, mom became a teacher and taught at the Grace Christian School and Sun Yut Sen High School in Manila. She arrived in Winnipeg in 1972 and worked as a Prep Nurse at the Health Sciences Centre until her retirement. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School at the Filipino Evangelical Church. Mom will be remembered for her childlike faith, her generosity, her forgiving heart and her love of poetry and dance. She is survived by her children, Delia, Oscar (Rose), Manuel (Ning), Thelma, Raul, Elmer (Virginia), Rebecca (Olaf), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and relatives. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital who sang and danced with mom; the Deer Lodge Centre staff; the E.R. staff at the Grace Hospital, and for all the prayers and flowers offered by friends. Your compassion and concerns gave us much comfort. So long, but not goodbye Mama. Viewing will be held at Knysh Funeral Home, 1020 Main St., Friday, February 29, 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A Memorial service will be held at Knysh Funeral Chapel on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 1 at 9:30 a.m., also at Knysh Funeral Chapel. Interment at Glen Eden.
