Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ROMANIUK January 9, 1947 - February 20, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Romaniuk on February 20, 2008. Margaret was a very loving and caring person and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she has touched. Margaret is survived by her brothers Godfrey of Saskatoon, SK, and Joseph and family of Melfort, SK, also brother-in-law Art Betke of Moosehorn, MB, nephew Martin Betke (Tracy, Chris, Kyle, Trinity, Hayden and Lauren) of Big Lake, MN, niece Theresa Rea (Bill, Trish and Jessica) of Moosehorn, MB. Margaret was predeceased by her father John and mother Mary (nee Yatchyshun) Romaniuk and sister Elizabeth in 2002. Margaret moved to Gimli in 1993. She began working shortly after that at Cornerstone Enterprises where she helped with various aspects of recycling. Margaret loved to spend time with her sister Beth whenever Beth would come to Gimli for a visit. Going out to Chicken Chef for coffee and a cinnamon bun was a special treat and she would do this as often as she could. Margaret had a very busy social life and attended many get togethers and parties, especially enjoying the added attention she received when it was actually her birthday. Up until a couple of years ago, Margie was always involved in activities like bowling and swimming until these activities became too difficult for her. Margie was a member of the Aktion club which is part of the Kiwanis. This group meets every two weeks together to play games, socialize and dance. The evening was never complete until Margie was able to get up and dance to the Bird Dance. We will never forget her wonderful smile whenever she was given flowers. Flowers would always brighten her day. Margaret's housemates, Norma, Rolande, Chrissy, Marc and Robert will miss her happy songs around the kitchen table along with her quirky sense of humour. Margie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all her direct support staff and all other members of the Heima Er Best family as well as her many friends from the Cornerstone and the Gimli community. A memorial Service will be held in Gimli at Lakeside Church of God, 12 Solvin Road, at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2008. A graveside service will be held in the summer of 2008 at the LGD of Grahamdale Cemetery in Moosehorn, MB. If friends so desire donations may be made in Margaret's name to Heima Er Best Incorporated (Husigim Home), Box 1949, Gimli, MB R0C 1B0. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD.
