Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALVIN HAFSTEINN GOODMAN It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Dad, grandpa, great- grandpa, brother, uncle and friend Alvin Goodman, on February 23, 2008. Alvin was born May 11, 1933 at Oak Point, Manitoba. He spent most of his life in the Interlake. He had a wide range of work experiences but farming was his calling and music was his passion. Left to cherish his memory are his children Rick (Beatrice), Cheryl (Dave), Mundi (Janet), David, Kelly (Wes), seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his friend from years gone by Pat, his sisters Herdis and Gladys and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Arlene; his parents Gudmundur and Holmfridur; sisters Solberg and Alfie; and brothers, Rafn and Eythor. The family would like to thank the Intensive Care staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their efforts and Father Gary for his prayers. We also would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for their care and concern for Dad. A memorial service will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon, Friday, February 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren Byron, Matthew, Kendra, Kristin, Adrian, Jaycen and Christopher. A private family interment will be held at a later date at All Saints Anglican Church in Erinview. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alvin's memory to a charity of your choice.
