ELIZABETH EMLYN-EVANS (nee IRONS) Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2008, at the Victoria Hospital after a short illness. She was a well loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Elizabeth was born in Westmount, Quebec, on June 5, 1914. With her parents George F. and Clara M. Irons she moved to Winnipeg, her home since 1925. Predeceased by her husband, David W. Evans, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Kathleen Matheos (Leo), grandsons Jay (Angie), Yiorgo and Zaho, great-grandsons Keiman and Cole, many friends and special friend Fred Birt. There will be no service at the request of the deceased, interment at Chapel Lawn. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family wishes to thank the emergency unit at the Victoria Hospital, the staff at the Waverley, the nurses and home care workers for the excellent care provided to Mrs. Evans.
