MAGDALENA (LYNN) HEYL (nee SOLOMON) November 8, 1934 - February 24, 2008 After a lengthy illness, Lynn passed away at the Victoria Hospital on February 24, 2008. Lynn leaves to mourn her passing, her sister Mary Mosiuk of Brandon, Manitoba along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Heyl, her mother Anna and her father Alex, her siblings, Mike, Magdalena (1931), Paul, Nick, Alec, Bill, Christina and Harry, as well as her nephews, Gary and Bob. Lynn was born at home on a small farm in Rorketon, Manitoba. She joined the Canadian Armed Forces from 1954 to 1962 where she worked in the medical and dental corps. She was then employed as a cashier at the International Inn from 1963 to 1991. Lynn also assisted her husband in managing the Delaware Hotel. In November of 1968, Lynn married John Heyl, the man who gave her two acres in the country . Lynn loved many things including her family, animals, music, singing, local and world events, politics, Scrabble and Bingo. She enjoyed a good debate and had a spirit that was vivacious. Lynn was the family historian and was always generous in sharing laughter, family stories and connections. We all loved her dearly and she will be sadly missed. A special thank you to the staff of the Carmen and Victoria Hospitals for their care, to her family and friends who visited, phoned or sent cards to Lynn and to Helen, John, Glen and George Jumbo for being such supportive neighbours. Funeral Service for Lynn will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba.
