She was predeceased by husband Harold and her parents John and Martha Devine, her only son Dennis, daughter-in-law Bente (Hanson), and two sisters that she was close with, Mary and Jessie. She is survived by her two grandchildren Darold (Christine) who reside in Ontario and their children Cierra, Coral. Jeff (Dagmar) and their daughter Julia who had a very special bond with her great-grandma. A special thanks to Dagmar's family the Gnall's for their years of assistance especially Johnny who made himself available whenever Jeff was not able to help his Grandma. Also special thanks to Maggie Avery who shared many laughs with Alice and always supplied her with sweet things as Alice had quite a sweet tooth. Alice was born March 06, 1913 in Mowbray, MB, and as a young child moved and remained in Winnipeg her entire life. She enjoyed summers riding the train to either Winnipeg or Grand Beach; spending time on the boardwalks with her son Dennis. She enjoyed five pin bowling and also lawn bowling into her 70's and had numerous awards to show for it. Alice was infamous for riding the bus daily downtown to either Eatons for her supplies or to the Winnipeg Library as she loved to read. Jeff would like to send a special thanks to the 5th floor staff at Beacon Hill for the care they gave, they really proved they were family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society as Alice loved her dog Fritzy and her Cats Ginger and Bonnie. Cremation has taken place, service to follow at a later date.
