ROSALIND MARIA SAWKA On February 27, 2008 our beloved wife, mother went to sleep after a short but courageous battle with cancer at Concordia Hospital at the young age of 66 years. Rose will be mourned by her husband of 46 years Ron; her son Frank and daughter Cheryl Blaschuk (David), as well as her special dog Buddy; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by parents George and Katrina Rauh as well as older sisters Anne, Frieda and Eleanor. Rose was born in Winnipeg where she raised her family. Her whole being was that of a devoted mother and wife. She had a successful career at Westfair Food for many years working in accounting. Later in life after her daughter moved to Vancouver her adventurous side led her, her husband and her son to move to Vancouver as well. She later returned to her roots in Winnipeg. She then worked for Sears until her passing. Mom always put everyone's needs above her own. We were blessed to have a final Christmas and Birthday Celebration with her before her passing. In accordance with Rose's wishes a private family service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made in Rose's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
