Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (JIM) PETER RONALD BLASKO Suddenly on February 25, 2008, Jim passed away into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jim is lovingly remembered by his soul mate and best friend Sharon. His three children Laura (Ivanna, Ainsley, Anna, Katriel), Deannne, Stan (Tonie, Jessica Taylor), Curt (Oakley, Summer). Jim is survived by his sisters Mary, Gloria, Ruth (Ted), brother George (Ida). Predeceased by both parents, his niece Debbie. Jim was born April 3, 1949 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He resided in Winnipeg until he married on June 14, 1969, When a decision to relocate to Selkirk, Manitoba was made. Jim worked as a carpenter, then drove semi-trucks in his early years. He began his career with buses, first working at Motor Coach building buses and finally driving for Greyhound Bus Lines for 23 years. Working for Greyhound was a rewarding experience. He enjoyed working with the public, and spoke with great respect for the staff. Jim's greatest love was his family. He had a glow about him at family gatherings, soaking in all the energy. Socializing with family and friends became a priority, enriching the lives of all who knew him. He enjoyed planting flowers, attending weekly Adesa auctions, buying and selling vehicles, carpentry, and travel. Jim lived his life with faith and love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will be most remembered for his devotion to his family and his faith. Jim's pallbearers will be his son Curt and his nephews, Dave, Cam, Wesley, Eric and Jeff. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Springs Church, 479 Eveline Street, Selkirk, Manitoba. Pastor's Leon Fontaine and Jacquie Fontaine officiating. The family of Jim Blasko want to thank all our friends for all their kindness and support (food, flowers, cards, and prayers). Thank-you and god bless Sharon and all the Blasko family.
