Yves was predeceased by Alice, his wife of 52 years, in 1991. He is predeceased by his parents, Jean-Louis and Yvonne, his brothers Guy, Rene, Andre, Alban and his sisters Estelle and Clothilde. Yves is survived by his wife of 15 years, Therese Bourne and her children Don and Vera Bourne, Earl and Lecia Bourne, and their families. Yves and Terry lived in Rivers for a number of years, where he made many friends. His cheery greetings, and friendly chats with everyone, will be missed. Yves was born and raised in Ste. Yves was the bulk Imperial Oil agent in Grandview. He served on the Grandview School Board, and was an active member of the community. Yves was a member of the Knights of Columbus and took part in many fund raisers and activities. He was a very social person and made friends wherever he went. Yves loved a good joke and told many. He loved to tease and enjoyed it if you teased him right back. Prayers will be held at St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church, 307 Whitmore Avenue, East, Dauphin, MB on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., with Father Yolando Gamallo officiating. Burial will take place following the funeral mass. Yves will be laid to rest beside Alice at the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. After burial, Yves' family invites you to join them at a luncheon to be served by the CWL ladies at St. Viator's Church Hall. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Yves received at the Brandon Hospital, the Rivers Hospital, and especially the Birtle Hospital where he received the best of care, love and respect. We can't thank the nurses and staff enough for making Dad so comfortable and content - he requested to stay at the Birtle Hospital because of the wonderful care he received and the friends he made there. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation can be made to the Cancer Society or the Children's Make A Wish Foundation. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Service Ltd. are looking after arrangements.
