ANDREA MARIE KNIGHT (nee AIKMAN) October 3, 1952 - February 29, 2008 It comes with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrea on February 29 at the Palliative Care Ward of St. Boniface Hospital. Remaining to cherish Andrea's memory is her husband of 26 years, David, mother Mary, sister Norene, brother Murray and wife Donna, nephew Scott and friend Kathleen, nephew Colin and all of the Knight clan . She will be missed by so many. Andrea was predeceased by her dear special dad, Ken. Andrea grew up in East Elmwood and attended Sir Sam Steel, David Thompson Junior High and Elmwood High. She often spoke of her very special friends and neighbours from the area. After graduating, Andrea joined the Bank of Commerce, where she also made many life long friends. In 1973, she was introduced to the Weston gang and met and later married the love of her life, David. After leaving the position as Branch Manager with the bank, Andrea joined David in the real estate profession, firstly with the Delbro family and later with Royal LePage. She was considered by all to be a true professional. Andrea had many passions and interests travel, nature, gardening, her flower beds, the birdies and all the little critters in her yard, her many, many pets over the years and having large family gatherings often with a theme. She had a wonderful sense of humour and loved nothing more than a lively exchange of ideas. Andrea was thoughtful, creative and generous never happy with a store bought when a homemade gift, a poem, or one of her unique knitted creations made everyone feel very special. Every gift was always given the creative Andrea gift wrap treatment . Andrea was a person of vision just do it was her approach, and she did it with the grace of a real lady. Special thank to Dr. Lotocki as well as the nurses and staff on 3B and on the Palliative Ward at St. Boniface Hospital. Thanks also to Dr. Winogrodzka.
