Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE THOMAS MANNINGWAY (GOOD MORNING) November 28, 1951 - March 3, 2008 Peacefully on March 3, 2008, our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, George Thomas Manningway, passed away at the age of 56 years. George leaves to mourn his wife, Eunice; children, Nicholas, Jason and Taylor; his children by choice, Tina, Vicky and Leslie (Ashley); granddaughter, Maya; brothers, Melvin, Edwin, Orton, Alex (Joanne), Earl, Hector (Phyllis) and Tim; sisters, Janice (Vernon), Rose and Nancy; grandma, Frances Sutherland; father in-law, Tom Cochrane Sr.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. George was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Ruby Manningway and his best friend, Oliver (Manchoo). In his younger years, George worked as a labourer in Pine Point and Hay River, N.W.T. He also worked for Fresh Water Fish Marketing at Wool Bay, Marine Bay and Simpson Island. In 1991, George found his true calling. He went back to school and graduated from Brandon University with a teaching degree. He started working for the Peguis School Board as a nursery school teacher. George worked at the Peguis School until he got sick and had to take the past year off. George was a loving father and husband who always put his family first. Because of his love for children, George and Eunice became foster parents, accepting many children into their home and loving them unconditionally. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Peguis Chief Council, the Peguis School Board and to the Fisher Ambulance attendants. Wake services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Peguis Community Hall with Rev. Barry Bear and Jim Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Arrangements Entrusted to 1-866-293-4951
