ANTHONY MICHAEL LAMONICA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and brother, at home on March 3, 2008 at the age of 72. He leaves behind his loving wife Bev, after 47 years of marriage, sons Gordon (Joanna), David and daughter Barb, grandchildren Jonathan, Darryl, Andrew, Krista and Gillian. Also left to cherish his memory are sisters Joy (Al), Lorraine (Bud), Marilyn (Ken) and sister-in-law Dorothy and many nieces and nephews. Tony was predeceased by his mother Millie, and father John. Tony began his career with Bird Construction, before becoming a partner in Pro-Plan Construction. Dad always enjoyed his work and continued his career until his passing. Dad enjoyed many sports, especially golfing, and was very proud of his three hole-in-ones. Dad was very involved in his children's activities. He was manager of many of our sports teams, and rarely missed anyone's games. You couldn't ask for a more dedicated fan. He enjoyed family vacations and later, golf trips with Bev and friends. In high school, dad played football for Daniel McIntyre and later with the Winnipeg Rods. He was extremely proud of winning a Canadian Championship and his induction into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. He took great pride in his family and we knew we could count on him for anything, anytime. In his later years, he enjoyed many precious moments with his grandchildren. You will be missed by all whose lives you have touched. We love you. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 3M7, or charity of choice. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
