Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELINE ELSIE JORDAN (MALISCHEWSKI) 1911 - 2008 The family of Adeline Jordan sadly announces her passing at the Extendicare Nursing Home in Lethbridge, Alberta, on February 22 at the age of 96 years. She was a much loved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was born to Roman and Martha Malischewski on the family farm at Mikado, Saskatchewan, and attended Zukumft school in the same district. Adeline leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Gerda Chernoff of Winnipeg, three granddaughters Tracey Cunningham and Laurie Chernoff of Winnipeg, Shelley (Bill) Caswell of Lethbridge and four great-grandchildren Jordan and Lauren Cunningham and Robert and Steven Caswell. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Alice Werner and Marge Malischewski as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Adeline was predeceased by her husband Fritz in 1963, her parents Roman and Martha, her daughter Diana Abel and son-in-law Richard Abel, three grandchildren Brenda Chernoff, Fred Abel and Stacey Abel. She was also predeceased by her brothers Ernest, Werner, Arthur and Ervin and sisters Erna Laube, Herta Welkholowa and Ethel Kazuska. Adeline was the last of eight siblings. In 1931 she married Fritz Jordan from Dusseldorf Germany. They lived in Winnipeg and in the Canora area. In 1942 they settled in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, where Adeline was employed at the Saskatchewan Hospital as a seamstress. Adeline retired after 33 years of service in 1976. After retiring she lived in Yorkton, Winnipeg and Lethbridge. Adeline enjoyed her church, family, traveling, flowers, sewing and especially family get-togethers. As requested by Adeline, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place in Canora, Saskatchewan, at a later date, with burial in the Canora Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
