Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRALPH PETER HERLICK May 29, 1931 March 5, 2008 Peacefully, with profound courage and dignity with the love of his family at side, Ralph Peter Herlick passed away at the age of 76 years at the Health Sciences Centre. Ralph will be sadly missed by his wife Marilyn (nee Tuttle) his wife of 57 years and his six children, Kathy Edgar, Brenda (Frank) Dyrkis, Ralph (Shirley) Herlick, Brian (Shari) Herlick, Brad Herlick and Randy Herlick. Ralph was also blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. His sister Gladys Malmas and brother, Robert (Yvonne) Herlick also survive Ralph. He was predeceased by his parents Harvey and Minnie (nee Engel) Herlick and his brother Ken Herlick. Born and raised in SouthEast Hope, Ontario, Ralph met Marilyn at work at McCormack's in London, Ontario. They were married in Niagara Falls on October 6, 1950. In 1957, they moved to Winnipeg and settled in the St. Boniface area where they raised their family. During his work career, he worked at Barret Roofing, Modern Building Cleaning and retired from Masonic Temple in 1996. Ralph did not ask for much in life. He was dedicated to his family and was always eager to celebrate the many birthdays, weddings and any family events. Ralph was a very simple and quiet man who was a role model to his family. He loved his two cats Smokey and Misty that were always there to greet him at home. In compliance with Ralph's wishes, a private family funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue at Sharp Boulevard. We would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre for the care and compassion throughout his stay since November 2007. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or to the Diabetes Association of Manitoba, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Rest in Peace Ralph, you will be sadly missed by all of us.
