BENITA ANN VAILLANT (SCOTT) On March 1, 2008, Benita suddenly passed away at home at the age of 52. Benita (Bunny) was born to loving parents Alvin and Eva Scott, as one half of a set of twin girls on April 21, 1955. She lived close to home where she lived, learned and loved until at the age of 20 years she met and married the love of her life Barry Daniel Vaillant in Holy Matrimony on September 6, 1975 in St. Thomas Anglican Church in Thunder Bay, ON. In 1996 Benita and Barry decided to move here to Winnipeg to find viable work and to be near his family. Over the next years, Bunny suffered increasingly declining health problems resulting in the necessity to use life-preserving devices such as insulin, oxygen, a wheelchair and other medical devices. After years of suffering she is now at peace. Benita is survived by her husband Barry Vaillant, her father Mr. Alvin Scott Sr., brothers Mr. Tex Scott (Bonnie), Mr. Alvin Scott Jr. (Chris), Mr. Richard Scott, Mr. Randy Scott (Diane) all of Thunder Bay, ON; sisters Mrs. Penny Pehkonen (Teuvo Sr.), Deborah Csori (Joseph) both of Thunder Bay, ON, Mrs. Heather Sechesky (Joseph) of Terrace Bay, ON, and her twin Mrs. Bonita Monkman (Gary Sr.) of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews. Benita was predeceased by her mother Eva Scott, as sister Donna Lynn Scott, a brother Baby Boy, and her grandparents Arther and Gladys Scott and George and Mary Adams. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Diabetes Association, or the Heart Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. Bunny, you will be sorrowfully missed by all of us. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
