Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN KELSCH (nee GRESCH) With saddened hearts we announce the sudden passing of our dear mom and beloved wife, Joan Patricia Kelsch, at age 70 on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Concordia Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Ed; daughter Kim Horrox (Lindsay) and grandchildren, Bailee and Austin; son Michael (Arlene); sister Anne Lee (Ron), and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by parents Henry and Anna Gresch, brothers Joe and Mike Gresch, and sister Eileen McMahon. Joan was born in Winnipeg and at an early age her family moved to Glenella, where she attended school and made many lifelong friends. In 1951, the family returned to Winnipeg and settled in West Kildonan. Besides school, she was involved for many years in softball, playing for West Kildonan Tigerettes. After leaving school, she was employed at McLeod's Ltd., The Winnipeg Tribune and Transcontinental Printing. She was also a member of St. Anthony Parish, where she belonged to the C.W.L. for over 30 years. She also bowled in the St. Anthony's Church and Northern Mixed leagues. Joan enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she always referred to as her little angels . They will surely miss her. Joan experienced many trying times in her life, but through her love, determination and faith, her legacy will forever be held in the hearts of her family and friends. The family is grateful for the care provided by the wonderful nurses in ICU and 3rd floor East at Concordia Hospital, and the supportive staff at Kildonan Personal Care Centre. Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Parish, 250 Burrin Ave., in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to honour Joan may make a donation to Special Olympics Manitoba, 402 - 200 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4M2. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
