FREDA MARIE WILSON (nee MARTEL) February 26, 1930 March 7, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Freda Marie Wilson our aunt, sister, friend at Charleswood Care Centre on March 7, 2008. Freda will be lovingly remembered and missed by her sisters, Lorrie (John) Riel, Elsie (Gerry) Bessette and Rosemarie Johnston; brothers, Walter and Raymond (Sonia); sisters-in-law, Elsa Wilson, Doreen Yardley, Yvonne Rosin, Annette Wilson; brother-in-law, Andrew (Gladys) and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband R. Neil Wilson; father and mother, Abraham and Philomene Martel; brothers, Stanley, Steven, Nelson and Allan; sister Doris Rivers; three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Some of her happiest memories were of her family and growing up in Fort Garry as one of eleven children. At age 15 she started working at Simmons Bedding and retired in 1986 after 41 years of service, during that time she made many friends there. But her fondest memories were of the 33 years she was happily married to Neil, a devoted husband who brought smiles and sunshine to her world. Although she kept to herself, her family and friends were important to her and in her own special way she touched many lives. A special thank you to Mrs. A. Ruby and her family for their kindness, love and support over the years she and Freda were roommates. The family also wishes to thank the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their dedication, kindness and loving care. A memorial service, with Father Morand officiating, will be held at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue with the entrance on Aubrey Street at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008 In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memoriam to either the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Unit 10 120 Donald St. or The Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
