Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY ROGOCKI June 9, 1920 - March 8, 2008 It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Stanley at the St. Boniface Hospital on March 8, 2008. Stanley is survived by his loving wife Nellie of 62 years; his much loved children, Angie (Roly), Bernie (Marcia), Allan (Rita), Betty (Gary); his adored grandchildren, Dan (Kathryn), Shelley (Trevor), Shauna, Tammy (Craig), Ashleigh (Max), Adam, and the joy of his life his two great-grandchildren. Kyley and Evan who never failed to put a smile on his face. Dad was born in Allegra, MB on June 9, 1920 to Ignace and Caroline Rogoski. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, Nick, Joe, Mike and Walter; one sister Ann Ruta; daughter-in-law Patti Rogocki who were all waiting with open arms to welcome him home. Dad did many things to provide for his family. He was a logger and trucker in his earlier years. When he moved his family to Winnipeg he started Stan's Floor Surfacing. After finishing floors for many years he decided to try his hand at carpentry and set up Rogocki's finishing. He was so proud that his older son Bernie took over the business when he could no longer work. In between his many jobs Dad found the time to build four cottages at Falcon Lake. Dad loved to spend time at the family cottage especially to feed his little furry friends with lots of peanuts. Dad and mom were fortunate to be able to travel to Europe twice, visit Russia and Poland and many other places. Dad especially loved going to the casino with his daughter Betty and son-in-law Gary in their motorhome. A private family service will be held. At dad's request, his pallbearers will be his two sons, Bernie and Allan, his two grandsons, Dan and Adam, and his two sons-in-law, Gary Allan and Roland Landry. Honorary pallbearer will be his great-grandson Evan. Flowers are gratefully declined. Anyone wishing to honour our dad can make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Manitoba Lung Association. We the family are eternally grateful to our Heavenly Father for loaning us the most incredibly brave man for almost 88 years. He was and will always be our hero. Dad's greatest joy on earth was his family and having them close by. His love for us was unconditional. So for all you who still have a father, go and give him a hug for you never know when he won't be there anymore. The family would like to thank all Dad's Doctors who took care of him through all his adversities. Also a big thank you to his home care team, Murray, Beresford, Kim and Cheryl who took such good care of him. Your kindness will never be forgotten Don't think of him as gone away His journey's just begun Life holds so many facets This earth is only one Just think of him as resting From the sorrows and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing That we would know today How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of him as living In the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost And he was loved so much Vichnaya Pam'yat GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241 Life stories may be shared with friends and family across the globe at www.mem.com
