GEORGE TEGOS Peacefully on March 10, 2008, George passed away with his wife and daughters at his side. Born on October 20, 1937, in Karditsa, Greece, he immigrated to Winnipeg in 1966 and married his wife Vicky that same year. In Canada he worked as an electrician, including spending several years commuting to the Northwest Territories. George was predeceased by his parents, Vasiliki and Efthimios; siblings, Athena and Lazaros, and his sister-in-law Tasia. George will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 41 years, Vicky. He will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters, Angela, Jainy, and Helen; his grandchildren, Christian, Dean, Elena, Michael, and his namesake George; his sisters, Astasia, Costadina; sons-in-law, Andreas, Emmanuel and Demitri, along with several nieces, nephews, and countless close friends. Prayers will take place on Thursday, March 13 at 7:00 p.m.; funeral service on Friday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m., both held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue.
