Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD CLARENCE HENRY 1924-2008 Leonard Clarence Henry, of Shergrove, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at his home. Leonard leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Marjorie, and children Gail (Dick Gallant) of Thunder Bay, Grant (Effie) of Cowichan Bay, BC, Sandra of Winnipeg, Karen (Grant Morgan) of Winnipeg and Glen (Marlene) of Ste. Rose du Lac, his grandchildren Allister and Graeme of Cowichan Bay and Bryce of Ste. Rose du Lac, his sister Donna (Art) Gunderson of Kelowna, and he will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Leonard was predeceased by his brother Raymond and his sister-in-law Eunice of Flin Flon. Leonard proudly served his country in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Air Force 709th Pathfinders Bomber Group. At the end of his service, he returned home to raise his family, run the General store in Shergrove and ranched for the remainder of his life. A memorial service for Leonard will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Eddystone Community Centre, Eddystone, Manitoba. Rev. Neil Strohschein will officiate with the service concluding at the hall. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in memory of Leonard to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, the Parkinson's Foundation or to the Humane Society.
