INGIBJORG HELGA (EMMA) FINNSON Peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Arborg Personal Care Home, Ingibjorg Helga (Emma) Finnson went to join her beloved husband Halldor. Emma was born on April 11, 1913 in Sylvan Manitoba to Arthur and Groa Hibbert. On September 2, 1933 she married Halldor Finnson. Emma was a lifetime member of the Vidir Ladies Aid. She lived all her married life in Vidir where she and Halldor farmed and raised their family. Emma loved her family dearly and she will be fondly remembered by her children, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granchild. Emma was predeceased by her husband Halldor, her mother and dad Groa and Arthur, granddaughter Allison, grandson Grant, daughter-in-law Gerri, and brothers James (Nora), Henry (Sigga), Harold (Thorunn), Gustaf, Arthur and Steini. Left to mourn her passing are her three sons Gustaf (Betty), Harold, Halldor (Sigurbjorg), sister-in-law Joan Hibbert, and her loving grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at the Arborg Care Home for the kind and loving care they gave our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother during her stay there. A memorial service will be held at the Arborg Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Bruce Zinken officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arborg Care Home or Arborg Lutheran Church. Interment will take place at a later date. MacKenzie Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
