GORDON HEDLEY MANSON August 10, 1928 - March 8, 2008 Peacefully, on Saturday, March 8, 2008, with family by his side, our Dad, Gordon Manson, formerly of Domain, MB, passed away at West Park Manor Personal Care Home, at the age of 79 years. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his children, Larry (Laurette), Carol (Dennis Pasieczka), Darlene (George Lecuyer), Darryl (Linda), Donna (Rick Tallaire) and Keith; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Terry Reimer), Shawn (Philippa), Heather (Dan Poirier), Colin (Olivia), Keri (Rod Vaters), Melissa (Joel Bunkowsky), Tom, Lisa, Kyle, Scott, Vanessa and Michelle; his great-grandchildren, Celeste, Nicholas, Jonathan, Liam, Matthew, Kristen and Lauren. Dad will be missed by our mother, Jean (Ted Barnes), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close extended family. Dad was predeceased by his father James Cormack, mother Helen Mary Hedley, sister Edith, brother Jim, brother-in-law William Roberts, in-laws, Elmer Hurley and Mary Blanco. Special thanks to Dr. O. Bereznay and his assistant Lisa, home care personnel who visited and cared for Dad, staff at Rosewood Retirement Community and all the staff at West Park Manor Personal Care Home for the care and compassion shown to our Dad. Sincere thanks to neighbours and friends (young and old) who watched out for Dad and kept him safe on the farm. Visitation will be held at Thompson in the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., on Friday, March 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Cathy Maxwell and Rev. Barb Roberts officiating. Lunch to follow. Interment in the Avonlea Cemetery with Rev. Ian Manson officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Avonlea United Church or Union Point Church in care of Avonlea United Church, Domain, MB, the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of one's choice. We love you Dad!
