Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION (MAY) PATRICIA JOHNSON June 30, 1916 March 9, 2008 Our Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has left us to join her soul mate, Vic Johnson, who died March 1985. Mom will also join her parents, John and Joan Steven, sister Joy Lamoureux, brothers, Jack and Jim, and her companion Merv Thrush. May is survived by her children, Myra Farmer (Arnie), Sandra Barnes (Helmut), and son Keith; her grandchildren, Wes (Shelley), Denise (Don) Bonneteau, Ron (Kristina), Chris (Darcy), Mike (Mandy), and Susan (Randy), and great-grandchildren, Melissa, Tamara, Courtney, Jessica, Jenna, Braedy, Kajla, Kaden, Kyle and Nolan. Mom, born in Winnipeg, worked hard as a young girl to help the family. She met Dad and they were married on August 17, 1940. They lived in East Kildonan for their entire life. Mom enjoyed baking, sewing, knitting and bowling. She also traveled and spent summers at several lakes throughout her years. Winters were spent at many hockey rinks watching Keith and her grandchildren. Mom started showing signs of Alzheimer's in the early 90s. Her last years were spent at Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank, Manitoba. Our family thanks all the special people at Kin Place for taking such good care of our Mom. We know you loved her too. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakbank United Church, 582 Balsam Crescent with Rev. Dawn Ballantine-Dickson officiating. If family or friends wish, donations may be made in Mom's memory to Kin Place Personal Care Home.
