ANDY MENDEL Andy Mendel passed away at the Morris General Hospital on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the age of 52 years after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Nicole Beaudette, his 11 year-old son Randy, and his nine year old daughter Nadine. He also leaves his father Mike Mendel, his brothers Tim and Hardy, and sisters Katie and Sarah. He was predeceased by his mother Sarah and older brother John. He leaves to mourn his mother-in-law, many brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Andy was a man of many talents. He loved trucking and committed himself to Lavallee Trucking for the past seven years. He enjoyed puttering around, fixing whatever needed to be done, and it was done without complaint. No job was too big for him. Andy's true love was people the guys at the coffee shop and countless friends, but most of all he loved his family. Together they watched NASCAR races and would make sure to take his family on some weekend getaways. He enjoyed watching Randy and Nadine at work or at play. They were his pride and joy. At Andy's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. We, the family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the Morris General Hospital and at CancerCare in Winkler for their genuine care and compassion. Thank you also to friends and family for all the food, the constant support, and all the prayers. Special thanks goes out to Harry and Susie Braun for always being there for us. Be assured Andy that we will carry on your principles and values and do it as you would, with a happy heart. We are proud of you and love you very, very much and look forward to meeting you again.
