AGNES (NETTIE) KONRAD Peacefully on March 13, 2008 at Victoria Hospital, Agnes was called to her Heavenly home. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Henry; sons, Ron (Vivian), Gordon (Edith), and daughter, Arlene (Keith); grandchildren, Jeff (Andrea), Tanya (Troy), Tara (Jeff), Shane (Heather), Sherry (Craig), Jared (Sarah), Rhea (Steve), Riley (Lindsay) and seven great-grandchildren. Agnes was born in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan on June 17, 1923 to Henry and Aganetha Wiebe. She was the oldest of nine siblings. They moved to Austin, MB and Mom eventually went to M.C.I. to work and this is where she met the love of her life and they were married on June 2, 1946, and would have celebrated 62 years together this June. Mom and Dad have so many special memories of trips taken together. Her favorite pastime was crocheting and all her grandchildren have an afghan made by Grandma. Viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Home, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg. A celebration of Agnes' life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Street, Winnipeg.
