CORNELIUS (NEIL) FRANK PETERS After a series of strokes, Cornelius (Neil) Peters passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on March 13, 2008, with his son Nelson at his side. Neil is survived by his sons, Nelson (Florence) and John (Loretta) and their mother Betty; grandchildren, Tristan and Erin; brothers, Peter, Daniel (Judy), Frank, David and Henry (Irene); sisters, Katie Paetkau, Marie (John) Zacharias, Margaret (Werner) Pauls, Helena Bewsky, Susie Thiessen and Betty (David) Siemens, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Maria Peters; four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Neil was born in the Greenridge district in the R.M. of Franklin on February 11, 1931. He was raised and went to school in Greenridge before moving to Winnipeg, where he was involved in the construction business. He enjoyed his Cadillacs and trucks. His special joy in the last few years were his grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held. At Neil's request his body has been donated to science, with cremation and burial to follow at a later date.
