Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIELA ADOLPHE (KORCHINSKI) It is with great sadness that the family of Shiela Adolphe announces her sudden passing on March 13, 2008 while vacationing with friends in Cancun, Mexico. Shiela is predeceased by her father Fergus Stewart; first husband Jim Adolphe; sister-in-law Marilyn Stewart and step-father Fred Mecklinburgh. She leaves to mourn her husband Emil Korchinski; mother Sylvia Stewart; brothers, Rick Stewart and his children, Sean and Brandy and Duane (Heidi) Stewart and their children, Devin and Tyler, step sons, Kevin (Glenda) Korchinski, Kirby (Sandy) Korchinski, Blair (Patti) Korchinski, Travis (Tanya) Korchinski; grandchildren, Alyssa, Melissa, Jessica, Mike, David, Andrew, Brooke, Meagan and Jake; four great-grandchildren, Teegan, Danaka, Cole and Payton. Shiela was born January 11, 1944 and was raised in the Weyburn district. She married Jim Adolphe in 1964. Together they made their home in Regina where Shiela began her long and successful career with the federal government. Jim passed away suddenly in 1980. In 1983 Shiela married Emil Korchinski and became Granny to a large and growing family. In the ensuing years, Emil and Shiela's careers took them to Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Balcarres before they bought and renovated their retirement home in the Indian Head District. The move to Indian Head allowed Shiela and Emil to be near to friends and family and also provided them with the opportunity to become part of a vibrant and welcoming community. Shiela was active in the Indian Head Curling Club, the Federal Superannuates, INAC Retiree's and enjoyed gardening and visiting with her grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the United Church, 801 Buxton Street, Indian Head, Saskatchewan. For those wishing, donations in Shiela's memory can be made to the Bell Barn Society of Indian Head. Tubmans Funeral Home Wolseley, Saskatchewan in charge of arrangements.
