ALLAN LLOYD FRAME With acceptance and grace, Allan Lloyd Frame passed away on March 14, 2008 at Victoria General Hospital, in his 89th year. Lloyd is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Doreen (Tooty) and his four children and their families: Murray, his wife Elaine of Calgary and their children, Shannon and Riley; Mariel Gobeil of Oakbank and her children, Jeffrey and Maeghan (Darcy Winter); Donna of Winnipeg; Colleen and her husband Merv Deckert of Winnipeg and their children, Kelly (KC, Tyson and Tyrell), Paul (Jody and Jenna), Christine and Jesse. The newest addition to our family, great-granddaughter Olivia Sage, held a special place in his heart. Dad was born in Virden on August 2, 1919 and grew up on the family farm near Lenore, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his father Allan, mother Gertrude, sister Helen, and brothers, Fergus, Murray, Lorne, and Bill. He will be remembered by his sister Joyce and her husband Fraser Williams, and Tooty's family: Grace Kent, Eva and Cliff Wilson, Adel Millar and numerous nieces and nephews, for whom he had a great affection. Mom and Dad were married on November 11, 1950 and would have celebrated their 58th anniversary this fall. Our dad was a man with great wit, endless stories, and a deep love of music. Until last year he played banjo with the Southglen Fiddlers. Dad served in the Merchant Marines, which allowed him to see the world and as a result he developed a love for travel, geography and world history. He was gratified that his children developed his love for both travel and music. Dad went on to work in many different jobs throughout his life and retired in 1984 from the Victoria General Hospital. At that time he developed a great passion, along with our mom, for the game of golf. They also continued to travel to visit family across Western Canada and for many years traveled to Texas for a few months each winter. They developed many great friendships during their travels, as long-lasting friendships came easily to both of our parents. He started each day solving crossword puzzles and had a great appreciation for the English language which made him very particular about pronunciation and spelling. Our family will be forever grateful for the kind and gentle care provided by Dr. Sharkey over the years. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the staff at Victoria General Hospital for their exceptional care in these last three weeks. A memorial celebration of Dad's life, filled with music and memories, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home located at 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will take place at a later date at Breadalbane Cemetery in Lenore. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society or The Breadalbane Cemetery Fund. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
