If we could have one lifetime wish One dream that could come true We would wish with all our hearts For yesterday and you. It's lonely here without you, We miss you more each day, Life is not the same Since you have gone away We feel again the bitter blow That never should have come Each morning when we wake We know that you are gone No one knows the heartache, As we try to carry on Our hearts still ache with sadness And secret tears still flow. What it meant to lose you, Mom, No one will ever know. Our thoughts are always with you Your place no one can fill In life we loved you dearly In death we love you still. They say that time heals everything But, we know it isn't so Because it hurts as much today As is did some time ago. Our family chain is broken now And nothing seems the same But as God calls us up one by one The chain will link again. We love you and miss you always ...
