HARRY SKENE DAVIE August 6, 1930 March 17, 2008 It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Harry Davie, on March 17, 2008 at the Concordia Hospital, at the age of 77 years, after a long illness from respiratory failure. Harry leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 56 years, Noëlla; daughters, Suzanne Billington, Shirley MacBeth (Bob), son Braden; four grandchildren, Tracy (Keith), Sheila (René), Sean (Sheri), Ashley (Rocky); six great-grandchildren, his sister Frances Iannone of Penticton, BC and many nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Robert (Bob) and Anna May, three brothers, Robert (Pinkie), William John (Bill) and Thomas Charles (Sandy); a great-grandson Brady and his beloved son-in-law Brian in 2006. Harry was born August 6, 1930 and lived most of his life in Transcona. In his younger days, he enjoyed curling, duck hunting, fishing and boating in Lake Malachi, Ontario for over 25 years. He retired from the C.N.R. in 1985 after 36 years of service. Harry was an Ordinary member of Transcona Legion Branch #7 for 39 years. He was a man of few words, but with deep love for his family. Our family wish to thank with sincere appreciation the nurses, especially Gayle, and staff at Concordia Emergency for the excellent care he received in the few hours he was there. A Memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who so wish may make a donation in his memory to the Lung Association. Rest in Peace, you will be sadly missed. God has you in His keeping, We have you in our hearts. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
