GEORGE ERNEST (ERNIE) OWEN October 25, 1952 March 15, 2008 It is with great sadness, we the family, announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother and Uncle Ernie Owen on March 15, 2008. Ernie was predeceased by his father Samuel J. Owen in 1994, his mother Marion Owen in 2001 and his nephew Todd Funk in 2007. Ernie will be sadly missed by his Brother Sam (Darlene), sister Sandra (Ernie), brother Tom (Linda), sister Cheryl (Dallas), brother Randy (Linda) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Ernie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Throughout his short life he made many friends. He has left great memories behind all of his adventures. A dedicated motorcycle enthusiast, he had a passion for motorcycles- building and riding them, which he did until his unfortunate accident in Kamloops, B.C. in 2004. He had many experiences during his life that, included amongst other things, semi-professional wrestling; he was also an avid hunter and fisherman and always had an ear available for anyone who needed someone to talk to. Ernie will be missed deeply by his family and friends. May your final ride be like a bat out of hell. A Memorial service will be held Monday, March 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Ernie's ashes will make their final ride at a later date.
