TERRY JAMES BERG 1950 - 2008 Suddenly on Monday, March 17, 2008, at his place of business, Terry Berg aged 57 years of Winnipeg, MB, formerly of Morden and Dauphin passed away. Terry was a well known veterinarian in Winnipeg for many years. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Laurie Massaro Berg of Winnipeg; his mother, Gladys Berg of Winnipeg; his daughter, Rachel Berg and son, Joshua Berg both of Winnipeg; their mother, Patricia Berg of Winnipeg; Laurie's children, Marcia and Steven Arpin (Benjamin, Sydney) of Thunder Bay, ON, Ryan Kamstra of Toronto, ON; one sister, Patty Lohr of Winnipeg; one brother, Richard and Inez Berg of Ottawa, ON and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Henry P. Berg in 2002. We will miss the beauty of Terry in his love and sharing of music, gardening (Pride of Winnipeg nominee, 2007), art, theatre, and interior decorating/graphic arts talents. His love of people, especially close family and friends, was celebrated in his culinary skills and hosting of gatherings. Animals, of course, held a very special place in Terry's heart and his compassion and care of both the owners and small animals he ministered to each day, shone through in his vocation as a veterinarian. Love of life and adventure recently took him on many exciting and people-filled journeys. Terry's deep, abiding spirituality and faith connected him lovingly to God and the St. Benedict's Table and St. Margaret's Anglican communities. Terry was a light for all of us and his generous spirit, wild and wacky sense of humour and his engaging and infectious laugh will be missed by all. May he rest in peace. Viewing at Wiebe Funeral Home, 121 8th St. in Winkler, MB on Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Viewing will also be on Monday at 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., prayers at 8:30 p.m., at Thomson Funeral Chapel, Broadway and Sherbrook. I am deeply saddened by Terry's death. Often I watched him in church, smiling, singing, listening - all he did came from a deep, sacred place in his heart. Terry's presence filled the entire church. Although I did not know him well, (you and I had something in common to talk about - CFS), Terry's tender, loving, giving nature were obvious and won't be forgotten. We grieve with you as we pray for peace and grace. Thank you, Terry, for the hope and joy you gave others, even as you struggled to find your own. - Posted by: Maryrose Derksen (Acquaintance) on: Mar 23, 2008
