Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN CHARLES RACKHAM 1928 - 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of John at his residence on March 17, 2008. John will be missed by his loving family; Irene, his wife of 59 years, daughters Christine (Stewart) McKane, Roxanne (Guy) Boston of Edmonton, son Michael, Tara and son Kyle; grandchildren Tod Trudeau, wife Annette and great-granddaughter Sydney, Dave Trudeau, wife Lindsey and great-granddaughter Jovi; Taryn Boston and husband Josh Semchuk, Edmonton, Daniel Boston, Edmonton, Katrina Rackham and extended relatives and friends. John's early education was at St. Ignatius, then St. Paul's High School where he participated in football - his ongoing sport interest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bridge and played poker on a monthly basis with a fine group of men. John was employed with Coca-Cola Ltd. for 36 years. He worked his way up to be Operations Manager of the canning department. John was an active member of the St. Thomas More Chapel. He served several times as a member of their parish council. He was a servant of this chapel for 34 years, 1964 to 1998. John was affiliated with the Credit Union, he was on the board of directors for 19 years. This Credit Union began as Holy Cross, amalgamated with other Credit Unions to become the present day Cambrian Credit Union. Dad, it was hard to say goodbye. We thank God for your life, for being our Dad, for your friendship and for our talks. You were very precious to us and we love you. Christian Burial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood at Drake in St. Boniface. Fr. Fred Olds officiating. Memories - Guy Boston.
