Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIA HOMIAK Peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2008, at the Misericordia Health Centre, Julia passed away at the age of 97, with her niece Elaine at her side. Julia is survived by her grandsons: Garth (Debbie) Scott, Ross (Lisa) Woodley; great-grandchildren, Miryah and Benjamin Scott, Kris and Kacie Lynn Woodley; daughter-in-law Patricia (Bob) Syrette; step-grandchildren, Chris (Anne) Homiak, Jacqueline Homiak, Vivian (Mike) McIntyre; stepson, Willard Homiak; stepdaughter Irene Robinson and step-grandchildren, Shannon and Robin. She will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends. Julia was born in Winnipeg on May 25, 1910 to Nicholas and Mary Skibo. She lived in Winnipeg her entire life and worked at The Bay, Ladies Shoe Department for over 25 years where she made many friends. She was an exceptional cook and homemaker. She was predeceased by her first husband, Sam Paskor, in 1963, her son, Leonard, in 1994 and her second husband, Bill in 2001. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Alex, Ted, Olga and Jenny. The family wishes to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and Misericordia Health Centre for the care given to Julia. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street with Rev. John A. Melnyk officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kris Woodley, Benjamin Scott, Mike McIntyre, Douglas Homenick, Phillip Doiron, Darrell Rohoway. Flowers are gratefully declined.
