HELEN DUSHNICKY After a serious illness and with great sadness and deep sorrow, the family of Helen Kathleen Dushnicky announces the passing of our beloved mother on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Mom was born on September 1, 1933 in Elphinstone, MB. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Skabar. On June 1, 1950 she married Peter Dushnicky and resided in Thunder Bay, ON, moved to Birtle, MB in 1967 and then to Winnipeg where she lived primarily until her death. She was predeceased by her husband; infant son Harold; daughter Rhonda; brothers, Mike, Andy, Leonard, and sister, Kathleen. Mom devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, with her family being her pride and joy. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna (Peter) Yaskiw, Rod (Fiona Patterson), Maureen Kostesky (Ted Barrett) and Kelvin (Lidia); eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys (Stan) Hnatiuk and Leona (Lyle) Reaume; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. with Pastor Loren Pullman officiating.
