JOSETTE ANN MARIE COCHRANE (Chowekarapisis - Dragon Fly) January 2, 1964 - March 24, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Josette Ann Marie Cochrane (Jo) (Chowekarapisis - Dragonfly) of Fisher River Cree Nation, at the age of 44 years, on March 24, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves to cherish her memory, her life partner of 17 years Faron Wilson; her only son Ian James; her daughters, Kaytlin and Taylor; her parents John and Shirley; her brothers, Allen (Myrna), Charles and John (Dolly); her sister Laura Pratt (Stacy); her very special friend and adopted sister, Lana Huta; special godchildren, Aaron (Beaver) Cochrane, Lyndon and Emma-Jo Pratt; the Wilson family, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. The two new additions to the family Semiah and Brandt held a very special place in her heart. Josette was predeceased by her sister Lesley Dawn, in infancy; Moshom Andrew James Cochrane; maternal grandparents Josette and Ole Olafson; uncle Leslie Cochrane; aunties, Betty Wheeler and Helen Robinson. Josette graduated from Assiniboine Community College in Brandon as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1994. Throughout her career she achieved her Certificate in Advanced Foot Care. She worked for several years at Ochekwi-Sipi Personal Care Home. Later, she worked at the Peguis Senior Centre, as well as part-time at the Percy E. Moore Hospital.
