Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD K. BROWN January 16, 1932 - March 21, 2008 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald K. Brown on Friday, March 21, 2008. Gerald passed away peacefully at a family celebration surrounded by friends and family. He is survived by his son Reg Brown (Sharon) and his daughter Ainsley Chitwood (Greg) and close family friend Henry Spreen. He is predeceased by his wife, Shirley B. Brown. Gerald worked as Station Master for the Canadian National Railway for several years, and as a result Gerald and his family lived in many small towns, before they chose to settle in Wawanesa. Shortly after this Gerald went to work for the Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company. Gerald loved being outdoors, and going on trips with his family and close friends. He especially enjoyed sitting around the campfire late into the evening at the beach with Henry and his neighbours. The family would like to thank the staff of Assiniboine Links and all the Home Care staff for taking such good care of Gerald. At Gerald's request there will be a private family service at a later date. Those who so desire can make a donation in Gerald's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
