Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM DAVID JAMES ALEXANDER TAGGART JR. April 10, 1941 March 23, 2008 Peacefully on March 23, 2008 Dad passed away surrounded by his family. Born April 10, 1941 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Edna Christie and William Taggart Sr., Dad grew up in West Kildonan along with sister Linda. Dad was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and friend. Family and friends were an important part of his life. Dad was a big sports fan, who rarely missed any of his children's or grandchildren's games. Dad loved to play cards and go to the racetrack. He was an exceptional bowler, and loved curling and golf. Dad was a dedicated employee of the Workers Compensation Board for over 30 years, where he formed many friendships. Predeceased by his parents and brother Ken Carrol. He will be forever remembered by his children, Lisa (Dennis), David (Mary Jane) and Tracy (Ryan); grandchildren, Crimson, Nicholas, Alexander, April, Kristen, Debra Jane and Jason. He is also remembered by sister Linda, niece and nephews, Dara (Keith), Derek (Karen) and Bryson (Jenn); great-nieces and nephews, Jack, Kate, Ella and Ryan; cousins, Fran and family, and Jim and family; as well as good friends, Aline Carrol, George Davis and family. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses on board of Air Transat, and the doctors and nursing staff at St. Boniface and Grace Hospitals. The family would like to extend a special thank you to George Davis and family for their comfort and support to Dad. At Dad's request, no formal service will be held. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Rossmere Country Club from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
